About China Travel Tools
China Travel Tools (travel.pulpandpaw.com) is a free English website that helps foreign visitors plan a trip to China: whether they can use 240-hour visa-free transit or 30-day visa-free entry, what each entry port allows, and practical basics such as payments, apps, phone data and high-speed rail.
Who we are
The site is made by Pulp & Paw Studio (果爪造物), a small creative studio. Our main work is AIGC short films and mini-games; China Travel Tools is our first public product. Studio homepage: pulpandpaw.com.
- Pulp & Paw Studio is based in China. Sections marked "Local tip" on our pages come from the studio's own first-hand experience of travelling in China. They are personal experience, not official information.
- Pomelo and Peach are the studio's mascots: two Shiba Inu sisters. The big orange paw print in our logo is Pomelo, the small cream one is Peach.
How we work
- Official sources first. Visa and entry rules come from China's National Immigration Administration (NIA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gov.cn and Chinese embassies. Every rule we state links to its source.
- "Last verified" dates everywhere. Each page shows the date we last checked it against the official source. Policies change; the date tells you how fresh the information is.
- We mark what we could not verify. If something comes only from an airline, the media or our own experience, the page says so.
- We do not invent details. If we cannot find an official timetable, fare or rule, we say "check on arrival" instead of guessing.
- Corrections are welcome. See our policy changelog for dated changes, and contact us if you spot an error.
Not official advice
We are not a government agency, travel agency or law firm, and we are not affiliated with any of them. The final decision on entry is always made by the border officer. Please read our Terms and disclaimer and confirm important details with official sources before you travel.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. It does not show ads today. We may show ads from Google AdSense in the future to cover our costs; if we do, we will update our privacy policy first. Ads would never change what we write.
